Cancellation of Assignment by Tutor
If a client cancels the tuition due to a tutor not showing up for a session, the tutor must bear the first month's commission for TuitionSingapore.com.sg. In the event where the tutor cancels the lesson before the start or during the first month, the tutor must get a replacement who is of equivalent or higher educational grades and able to meet all the requirements. Otherwise, the tutor has to bear the full amount of the commission.
Tutoring Period
If the tutoring period is not specifically declared, the student and tutor should be prepared to commit to tutoring until the end of the year or more than 3 months.
Commission
Commission refers to the amount TuitionSingapore.com.sg levies for a successfully matched tuition team. For the first two weeks, a tutor's tuition fees will be paid to TuitionSingapore.com.sg as commission. After the initial two week period, clients will pay the tuition fees directly to the tutor. However, if the tuition assignment has a duration of less than three months, the commission will be evenly divided between tutors and clients. This will be confirmed between the client and the tutor prior to the beginning of tutoring. In the event of cancellation either by the parent or tutor anytime during the first month, half of the amount will be paid to us as commission.
Tuition Rates
Actual tuition rates differ for each tutor, depending on several factors. The ranges of tuition rates listed on our site are to be used as a reference.
Payment
Tutors are not allowed to change the tuition fees or commission in any way for the first month without the consent of TuitionSingapore.com.sg. Payment collection details will be discussed and confirmed once tuition assignments are successfully matched. Payment can be made to the tuition agency in the form of fund transfers, cheque, or cash.
Location of Tutoring Lessons
Tutors will conduct teaching at the student's residence unless specified and agreed upon by both client and tutor.
Tutor Reassignment or Cancellation
If at any time the client is not satisfied with the tutor, the client may request a replacement. However, the client is responsible for paying the attended tuition fees.
